In 2010 summer i went to U.S.A. I had a great time in there. I visited a lots of citys there: new york, washington D.C. , chicago, pittsburgh, ohio, ontario and some more. Ontario is a city of Canada, there i went to the niagara falls. It was really pretty. In the Niagara Falls there was always a rainbow above the waterfall. And i was in the White House, tourits cannot really go there, but we had a friend, who had a friend e.t.c who could let us in, so it was realy cool.
I was in USA for 1 month. The people in there are a lot nicer than in Estonia. Some people just came to me and complimented my hair or my dress or whatever, they were really nice, they always smiled. When one girl was crying then strangers just went to her and asked her if she's okey and they were really worried about her, i think that it was were nice of them.
In USA there were a lot of skyscrapers, abviously. Okey mostly in new york and chicago I only saw skyscrapers :) For me it was the best trip ever, I really enjoyd it.
Hi Arinda,
ReplyDeleteIt was really interesting to read this piece of (hi)story about your experience in the USA and the differences that you noticed there compared to Estonia. You have also followed the instructions: having more than 10 sentences and mentioning a year number! It's also great to see you use 'etc.' Good job!
Here are two general suggestion for the improvement of your future posts:
- You could use more structure - paragraphs* - in the posts to make it easier to read
- Capital letters are used at the beginning of the names of towns and cities, eg. New York, Washington DC, Chicago
Here are also some learning points from this text that you can take with you for the future.
1. Before the word 'USA', the article 'the' is used, eg. 'I went to the USA', 'I was in the USA for 1 month.
2. If you want to say '2010. aasta suvel', the word order is like this: 'In summer 2010'. The word for a season comes before the year number.
3. To use the word 'lot' to say 'palju', you have 2 options**:
- a lot of .. OR
- lots of ..
When you have 'a' at the beginning of the expression, you can't use 's' at the end of 'lot'.
4. Some little spelling mistakes in words:
- The plural*** for 'city' is 'cities' - 'y' becomes 'ie'
- The English word for 'ilmselgelt' is 'obviously' - beginning with 'o'
- The English word for 'okei' is 'okay' - there is no 'e' in the word
* paragraph - lõik
** option - võimalus
*** plural - mitmus
PS Very nice pictures, too! :)
